TO BECOME A GREATER ME
The AGM program is a nine-week series of empowerment workshops designed for foster and community youth, ages 14-21. Attendees receive essential life skills such as financial planning literacy, career path outlook, and job search/interviewing process. As well as understanding social etiquette, legal rights as an individual and conflict resolution. They learn the fundamentals of self-care,
mental, and physical health management through resilience and self-awareness.
All to assist young people transitioning out of foster care with the unique challenges
faced by young people transitioning out of foster care.
Every child deserves a safe and stable home. Unfortunately, neglect and abuse force many into foster care, with nearly half facing severe mental health challenges. In California, a staggering 38% of foster youth never find a permanent home, and only 51% graduate high school.

A Greater Me confronts structural inequities and radicalized systems that push foster youth toward incarceration, providing education and support to interrupt the foster-to-prison pipeline.
Proper support is necessary for foster youth to overcome significant challenges when transitioning to independence. A Greater Me is a program that aids in overcoming the staggering statistics by offering guidance and skills required to overcome challenges
and build steadfast foundations for continued success throughout the rest of their lives.
JUSTICE SYSTEM NAVIGATION & PIPELINE PREVENTION
Know your rights and police interaction protocols. Understand probation, juvenile records, and court systems.
The ability to de-escalate conflict and make decisions under pressure, as well as being aware of civic duties such as laws, consequences, and advocacy.
JOB READINESS
Our resume building and job readiness workshops help you prepare for the workforce. Obtain the skills necessary to excel in job interviews and secure employment.

Start a journey of exploring careers and setting goals. Define your aspirations, create a plan, and work towards a fulfilling career path.
